Job Description

Axcis is partnering with an innovative alternative provision in Salford to recruit Construction & Trades Practitioners for part time and full time roles. The role involves hands on instruction in bike repair, tiling, plastering, and general construction for young people aged , fostering confidence, independence and transferable skills.

Employment Details
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Day rate: £95+ (dependent on experience & qualifications)
  • Location: Salford
  • Contract: Full/Part time
  • Hours: Mon Fri 8:30 am 3:30 pm
Responsibilities
  • Deliver practical, hands on sessions in bike repair, tiling, plastering and general construction.
  • Support students with SEMH needs through engaging tasks.
  • Create a safe and structured workshop style environment.
  • Encourage teamwork, problem solving and personal development.
  • Introduce students to transferable skills for future employment.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Practical experience in bike mechanic work, tiling, plastering, construction or related trades.
  • Experience or willingness to work with young people aged .
  • Understanding of SEMH needs and how to support pupils in practical settings.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and hands on approach.
  • Strong communication skills and patience.
  • Commitment to a full time, long term role.
  • Ability to provide an up to date DBS or be willing to have one processed.
