Axcis is partnering with an innovative alternative provision in Salford to recruit Construction & Trades Practitioners for part time and full time roles. The role involves hands on instruction in bike repair, tiling, plastering, and general construction for young people aged , fostering confidence, independence and transferable skills.
Employment Details- Start date: ASAP
- Day rate: £95+ (dependent on experience & qualifications)
- Location: Salford
- Contract: Full/Part time
- Hours: Mon Fri 8:30 am 3:30 pm
- Deliver practical, hands on sessions in bike repair, tiling, plastering and general construction.
- Support students with SEMH needs through engaging tasks.
- Create a safe and structured workshop style environment.
- Encourage teamwork, problem solving and personal development.
- Introduce students to transferable skills for future employment.
- Practical experience in bike mechanic work, tiling, plastering, construction or related trades.
- Experience or willingness to work with young people aged .
- Understanding of SEMH needs and how to support pupils in practical settings.
- Proactive, adaptable, and hands on approach.
- Strong communication skills and patience.
- Commitment to a full time, long term role.
- Ability to provide an up to date DBS or be willing to have one processed.
