Structured Cabling Engineer with DBS

DCS Recruitment seeks an experienced data cabling engineer in Northampton on behalf of a national structured cabling contractor. Contract date: 20/07/2026. Duration: 8 weeks initially. 8 hour day shifts 8am-5pm Monday to Friday.
ResponsibilitiesThe cabling engineers will carry out wifi network upgrades, adding new wireless access points and data cabling to existing network infrastructure. Work will predominantly involve CAT6 and containment installations, which may be internal or external.
Qualifications- Hold a valid ECS/Equivalent structured cabling/comms industry related card or CSCS
- Must have or be willing to complete first aid awareness course
- Must have or be willing to complete Manual Handling, asbestos awareness and working at heights (Course can be provided free of charge)
- Minimum of 2 years' comms industry experience
- Be able to provide relevant work references and proof of right to work in the UK (ID) prior to start
- Have their own PPE and hand tools including termination kit and drills
