Working within our Design team, the Structural Engineer will play a key role in supporting structural design elements on projects.

What you'll do:

  1. Adhere to the Integrated Management System
  2. Undertake concept designs and planning projects at the concept stage on a wide variety of buildings
  3. Be responsible for producing Structural Engineering calculations for light gauge steel frames, associated hot rolled members, and composite floor slabs
  4. Deliver excellent project work within agreed deadlines and budget
  5. Interact with clients and other project members
  6. Keep management informed of important and relevant design decisions to ensure company and client objectives are met
  7. Represent Remagin and attend meetings with clients and suppliers, alongside senior team members
  8. Understand the detailed design process, including software use, process adherence, and production of manufacturing information
  9. Undertake site visits as required

What you'll bring:

  • Experience as a Structural Engineer, preferably in steel design
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with senior engineers and external design teams to provide engineering solutions
  • Bachelor's degree (BEng / BSc) or Master's degree (MEng / MSc) meeting the engineering academic requirements for Chartership
