Roughan & O'Donovan (ROD) is looking to recruit a structural design engineer with two to five years' relevant experience for a permanent position within our expanding buildings team in Dublin.

The roleYou will be part of a team recognised for delivering high quality, cost effective and sustainable building projects across a range of sectors, including residential, healthcare, education and commercial.
Your key duties will include:
- structural design
- liaison with clients, design teams and contractors
- site monitoring
- project management
- structural surveys and reports
- site development design
Our buildings team works with architects, developers, local authorities and property owners to develop robust, long lasting building designs.

- Honours degree in structural or civil engineering (Level 8 qualification in the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent)
- Two to five years' postgraduate experience with a structural design consultancy working on buildings related projects
- Strong safety ethic
- Good organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills
- Ability to work within a team or on your own under guidance
- Fluency or a high level of proficiency in spoken and written English
- Full and clean driving licence
- Experience of MasterSeries or similar structural design and analysis software
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Knowledge or experience of BIM/REVIT
- Knowledge and experience of design in accordance with Eurocodes for concrete, steel, masonry, timber and foundations
