Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies aligned with project and client goals.
- Oversee supplier pre-qualification, evaluation criteria development, and recommendation reports.
- Manage the full tendering lifecycle-from drafting documentation to managing scoring and feedback.
- Ensure full compliance with EU procurement regulations and local governance procedures.
- Support clients in contract negotiations and post-award contract management.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure procurement outcomes align with project delivery.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members and procurement professionals.
- Attend client and stakeholder meetings, providing expert commercial input and advice.
- Identify and manage risks within the procurement process and deliver mitigation strategies.
- Represent Cumming Group at industry events, with a focus on client development and market presence.
- Experience and understanding of best-in-class procurement processes using
- Education: Degree qualified in Procurement, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional Accreditation: MCIPS, MRICS, MAPM or equivalent (or working towards).
- 5+ years of experience managing procurement in complex environments, ideally within high-value infrastructure, public sector, or transportation projects.
- In-depth knowledge of EU procurement law and frameworks, along with experience using NEC and JCT contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to lead procurement on large-scale, multidisciplinary projects.
- Strong understanding of supplier capability assessment, value management, and risk control.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident working independently and under pressure in a client-facing environment.
