Strategic Planning Consultant - East of England

Carrington West are delighted to be assisting this East of England based Local Authority client with their search for an experienced Planning Policy Consultant.

This is an initial 6+ month contract position paying up to £52 per hour inside IR35.

Responsibilities

• Work toward developing the broad content of the policies, contributing to the Local Plan.
• Operate with tight deadlines and minimal supervision, prioritising daily workloads effectively.

Qualifications

• Experienced Planner with strong knowledge of national planning policy; ideally from a Local Authority background.
• Degree and preferably Masters qualification; MRTPI status or current progression toward MRTPI.
• Very strong knowledge of planning legislation and processes; excellent communication skills.
