Job Description

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, where you will support and develop a high-performing team to sustainably grow income for local hospice care, and personally secure and steward high-value partnerships.

Main duties of the job

This post is offered on a permanent, part time basis, working 30 hours per week. Our core hours are 8.30am - 5pm, however, working hours would be agreed with the successful post holder around business need. At St Catherine's we offer work from home opportunities, however this is adaptable depending on business needs and regular onsite attendance is required.

Please note the successful candidate will be an essential car user, therefore candidates must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Job responsibilities

About You:

Are you an experienced, confident line manager who enjoys a varied workload? Would you find it rewarding leading ambitious plans to grow income for St Catherine's through corporate partnerships trusts and foundations?

We are seeking a collaborative, supportive leader to guide our partnerships team and achieve ambitious income targets. Using your fundraising expertise you will inspire and engage new and existing high value partners and deliver exceptional supporter experience.

Key Priorities:

  • Line managing a team of 3 direct reports, providing clear direction, coaching and development
  • Ensuring the development and delivery of robust pipelines, high quality proposals and effective partnership engagement plans
  • Securing and stewarding strategic, high value partnerships
  • Developing compelling packages of support aligned to organisational priorities
  • Closely monitoring income and expenditure and ensuring strong financial oversight
Qualifications
  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent, with grade A-C GCSE level in English and Maths.
  • Full driving licence and access to vehicle for business use.
  • You may hold a sales, marketing or fundraising qualification, and/or membership of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
  • You may be educated to degree level or equivalent.
Experience
  • Experience of line managing others and developing high performing teams.
  • Experience of working in a fundraising environment with a track record of securing five figure financial gifts or partnerships.
  • Experience of working in a customer or donor focused environment delivering exceptional customer / donor care.
  • Ability to analyse and use data and insight to inform fundraising strategy, decisions and approaches.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience of writing compelling content and presenting complex information succinctly.
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills, with ability to engage and inspire internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confident presenting and networking.
  • Experience of managing budgets, income targets and activity plans, and reporting against progress.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Office.
  • It would be helpful if you have experience in Corporate and/or Trust Fundraising.
  • You may have previously developed fundraising strategies to deliver sustainable income growth
  • Experience of using Raiser's Edge database.
  • Experience of working with Volunteers
  • Knowledge of St Catherine's geographical area and how this applies to local relationships
