Job Description
Strategic HR Business Partner
Duration: 6 months initially
Working pattern: Hybrid
Rate: Day rate Inside IR35, negotiable depending on experience
This is a senior HR role partnering with leadership teams to deliver a joined-up, strategic HR and OD service, supporting organisational priorities and driving performance, workforce planning and service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership teams, influencing both operational and long-term people strategies
- Use HR data and insight to support decision-making, workforce planning and performance improvement
- Lead on service redesign and organisational change initiatives
- Provide oversight of employee relations, ensuring complex casework is managed effectively and in line with best practice
- Support the development of talent management and workforce strategies
- Drive improvements in recruitment, retention and organisational capability
- Champion equality, diversity and inclusion across services
- Work collaboratively across HR functions to ensure a consistent and high-quality service delivery
Key Requirements
- Proven experience operating as a senior HR Business Partner within a complex organisation
- Strong track record of delivering strategic HR initiatives and organisational change
- Experience working closely with senior stakeholders and leadership teams
- In-depth knowledge of employee relations, workforce planning and HR best practice
- Experience working with or supporting schools, academies or education settings (highly desirable)
- Ability to use data and insight to influence decision-making
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
