Job Description

Strategic HR Business Partner

Duration: 6 months initially

Working pattern: Hybrid

Rate: Day rate Inside IR35, negotiable depending on experience

This is a senior HR role partnering with leadership teams to deliver a joined-up, strategic HR and OD service, supporting organisational priorities and driving performance, workforce planning and service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership teams, influencing both operational and long-term people strategies
  • Use HR data and insight to support decision-making, workforce planning and performance improvement
  • Lead on service redesign and organisational change initiatives
  • Provide oversight of employee relations, ensuring complex casework is managed effectively and in line with best practice
  • Support the development of talent management and workforce strategies
  • Drive improvements in recruitment, retention and organisational capability
  • Champion equality, diversity and inclusion across services
  • Work collaboratively across HR functions to ensure a consistent and high-quality service delivery

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience operating as a senior HR Business Partner within a complex organisation
  • Strong track record of delivering strategic HR initiatives and organisational change
  • Experience working closely with senior stakeholders and leadership teams
  • In-depth knowledge of employee relations, workforce planning and HR best practice
  • Experience working with or supporting schools, academies or education settings (highly desirable)
  • Ability to use data and insight to influence decision-making
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
