Strategic Growth Director - PMCM Ireland

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Strategic Growth Director to establish and grow the PMCM business in Ireland at a time of unprecedented business opportunity. This role will be predominantly based in our new Dublin office with travel expected across Ireland and occasional visits to the UK.
As a key member of the PMCM Business Leadership Team, you will work closely with the PMCM Business Unit Managing Director and the WSP Ireland Country Lead to define and deliver a strategic growth plan that strengthens our market position and drives sustainable business performance.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Growth & Market Development- Develop and implement the PMCM Ireland Growth Strategy, aligned with regional and global business objectives
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across key sectors including Rail, Highways, Water, Energy, and Local Government
- Expand WSP's presence by leveraging existing client relationships and establishing new strategic connections
- Build and maintain a strong network of senior client relationships across Ireland including but not limited to TII, NTA, Irish Rail, Uisce Éireann, Local Authorities
- Lead a structured key account management framework, setting and delivering annual account targets
- Represent WSP at industry forums, conferences, and key stakeholder engagements
- Establish strategic partnerships to support pipeline growth and capability enhancement
- Collaborate with PMCM Group Directors and Sector Leads to align resource planning with market demandEnsure a robust and sustainable pipeline of opportunities across Ireland
- To be successful, this role will require close collaboration with the wider WSP business
- Build the PMCM resource capacity and capability in both our Belfast and Dublin office locations to support project portfolio delivery across the island of Ireland
- Support the PMCM Business Unit MD in achieving pre agreed target business outcomes relating to pipeline growth, successful project awards, strategic account growth and profit margins
- Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and leadership development
You are an experienced leader with a strong track record in infrastructure delivery and business growth, combined with deep market insight and exceptional relationship-building skills.

- Established network within the Irish infrastructure market
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Collaborative leader with the ability to work across multiple levels and disciplines
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with strong risk awareness and problem-solving capabilities
- Significant leadership experience in a client-facing environment
- Approx. 20 years' experience delivering major infrastructure projects (typically €50m+)
- Proven expertise in rail and/or large-scale infrastructure programmes
- Strong commercial and contract management experience (e.g. NEC, FIDIC, COE)
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive business outcomes
- Degree in Engineering or Project Management
- Chartered status in a relevant discipline
- Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. APM, ICE, IET)
- Experience in water sector project delivery
- Multi-sector client account management experience within Ireland
