Job Description

We are looking for a Strategic Commercial Specialist to join our Strategic Growth team within the GTM department. This role focuses on expanding our trade base across regions and categories through new trade acquisitions, requiring collaboration with account management, marketplace operations, and marketplace health teams to ensure growth and performance.

Our mission is to improve lives, support livelihoods, and build communities by connecting people with trades and tools for home improvements.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Drive revenue growth by acquiring new trade businesses of all sizes: identify high-potential trades, develop proposals tailored to client needs, negotiate contracts, and facilitate onboarding.
  2. Conduct market analysis using data-driven insights to assess market penetration, competitive positioning, and identify new opportunities and gaps.
  3. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Account Management, Vetting, Product, and Operations to evaluate regional and category opportunities.
  4. Build product knowledge to tailor business cases and proposals effectively.

Skills Required:

  1. At least 2 years of commercial and sales experience in similar markets or industries.
  2. Proven ability to identify potential clients, develop proposals, and achieve revenue targets using commercial techniques.
  3. Strong communication skills to build trust with tradespeople and internal teams.
  4. Ability to manage cross-functional responsibilities and contribute ideas in team discussions.
  5. Experience in customer relationship management, both digitally and in person.
  6. Proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce, outreach tools, and AI optimization tools.
  7. Tenacity, motivation, and resilience in a test-and-learn environment.
