£25,000 - £30,000 Salary Company Vehicle Provided (Hybrid / Electric Fleet) 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays Fully Expensed Travel & Induction Training & Development Opportunities Autonomous, Field-Based Role We are recruiting for a Stores Controller to join a well-established engineering and rail support business covering the Midlands region, including Doncaster, Rugby, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham, and surrounding areas. This is a varied and hands-on position ideal for someone with a stores, warehouse, stock control, or asset management background who enjoys a mobile role with a high level of autonomy. You'll be responsible for supporting multiple satellite locations, managing stock movements, and ensuring accurate inventory control across the operation.The Role
- Manage stock levels and stores operations across multiple locations
- Coordinate stock movements between depots, suppliers, and maintenance sites
- Carry out stock checks, audits, and discrepancy investigations
- Update and maintain records on the asset management system
- Support engineering and operational teams with parts and stock requirements
- Travel between sites as required, with some work-from-home flexibility for system updates and administration
- Ensure stores procedures are followed consistently across all locations
- Previous experience within stores, warehouse, stock control, or asset management
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Forklift licence desirable but not essential
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
