George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust opened in 1948 and provides a range of elective, non-elective, surgical, medical, women's, children's, diagnostic and therapeutic services to a population of more than 350,000 people.

Main duties of the jobTo support all service areas within the Trust to receive and issue the correct goods, products or equipment purchased in a timely way through an effective Supply Chain service including receipts, distribution and to lead the rollout of the Materials Management Service across the Trust and support going forward.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities- Rollout of the Materials Management service across the Trust and ongoing support to maintain agreed stock levels across the service, tackling product issues, stock issues and liaising with other areas to support this.
- Receives goods to the warehouse and ensures that these goods are handled safely and by appropriate means e.g. transfer of goods by a trolley/truck (if required), to the correct stores bin location and recording this in line with appropriate 'booking in' procedures.
- Moves, handles and stores goods and equipment in accordance with agreed stores procedures and in line with health and safety guidance.

Person specification Qualifications- GCSE's level or equivalent
- Understanding of a warehouse environment
- Operational understanding of Materials Management
- Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chains
- Knowledge of Inventory Management Systems and issues
