About the role

Tesco: New Store Opening

Contract: Permanent

Shift Pattern: Varies from day to day but are planned in advance

Should you be successful in your application, your offer will be conditional upon providing your bank details before your start date.

You will be responsible for

1. Recruiting and training the best people for your team, developing their operational and leadership skills.
2. Coaching your team to be passionate and knowledgeable about the products, building the store's brand, and providing excellent customer service.
3. Leading your team in driving trade activity to grow sales and maximize profit.
4. Building your managers' knowledge to deliver and sustain the Store Change Plan, resource planning, and resolving root cause issues with sustainable solutions.
5. Ensuring the safety of colleagues and that the store operates legally by coaching the team to use all security tools available.

You will need

• Excellent communication skills, sharing knowledge and working collaboratively to deliver results.
• A welcoming attitude towards customers, listening and building strong relationships.
• Energy and resilience to work in challenging environments, making quick decisions for the benefit of customers and colleagues.
• Drive to exceed expectations, acting with integrity and inspiring confidence.
• Awareness of competitors and a proactive approach to improving the store through new initiatives.
