Staff NurseBand 5 £31,892 - £39,735 per annum (pro rata)
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,349 (pro rata)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 nurse to join the Barra Nursing Team. This island post offers an interesting, rewarding, and challenging experience with ample opportunities for developing skills and experience in a remote and rural setting. The Integrated team works across the hospital (3 beds), emergency room, and community workload, providing patient-centered care to the communities of Barra and Vatersay.
The Islands of Barra and Vatersay are the smallest in the archipelago of the Western Isles, renowned for their idyllic beaches, sporting activities, community spirit, and Gaelic culture. The island features the UK's only airport beach runway, offering excellent daily air service to the Mainland, along with an exhilarating daily ferry service from Oban and five sailings to the adjacent island.
The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with a current NMC registration, evidence of Continuing Professional Development, and a full driving licence.
