Staff Nurse

Location: York

Hours: Full-time contracts are 38.5 hours. This will be a mix of days and nights, so flexibility is needed.

Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support people to regain the skills they have lost. We are looking for nurses to join our team working at our brand-new flagship service.

Brainkind Neurological Centre York is a purpose built 40 bed state of the art independent hospital, providing high quality neuropsychiatric, neurobehavioral assessment and rehabilitation for people following an acquired brain injury with a range of additional mental health and physical conditions.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Current professional registration with Nursing & Midwifery Council. RMNH/ RNLD/ RGN
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible in approach to work
  • A friendly and approachable manner with good people skills, showing care and empathy
  • The ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Previous acquired brain injury experience
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act & Mental Capacity Act
  • Be a recognised practice assessor/ practice supervisor
  • Understanding of Risk assessment and management and its application within practice
  • Good IT and keyboard skills with experience of using computerised record systems
