We're looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Haematology Transplant Unit Nursing Team, at The Christie Private Care, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC.

HCA Healthcare UK has developed a dedicated private centre in partnership with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester. The Christie Private Care treats private patients with a full range of diagnostic, inpatient, surgical, day case and outpatient treatment all on one site.

We individualise care to the need ofeach patient, providing full treatment plans from diagnostic assessments to surgery, chemotherapy andanti-cancerdrug therapies, radiotherapy and supportive care.

As a Staff Nurse you'll be working as part of an experienced nursing team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of specialist care to ensure that patients are cared for in a safe, caring and comfortable environment.Day-to-day you'll work on a variety of complex cases, but also with the very latest treatment, tools and techniques - allowing you to provide the best possible care for your patients. So, if you can bring us the Haematology or Oncology experience we need, along with the ability to lead and motivate a team then we can offer you the chance to grow your career at company operating at the forefront cancer care.

The haematology unit enables nurses to deliver high standards of holistic care to their patients as we run on a low nurse to patient ratio (1:3). We deal with patients who have a variety of haematological malignancies. This includes the delivery of systemic anti-cancer treatments for acute leukaemia, high grade lymphomas and multiple myeloma and managing side effects of these treatments. Frequently this cohort of patients go on to require stem cell transplant as their best treatment option and we deliver both allograft and autograft transplants on the unit. Our unit is JACIE accredited jointly with the Christie Trust haematology transplant programme and we are excited that we have the opportunity to deliver innovative CAR T cell treatments in the near future along with bispecific treatment. Due to the fact that the haematology unit is a specialised unit we have a clinical practice facilitator who ensures that staff are trained clinically in order to deliver care safely and with competence. The clinical practice facilitator runs an education programme which includes basic and advanced cell therapy study days and the opportunity to attend national and international conferences in relation haematology. We also have 2.5 haematology cancer nurse specialists who supports the patients and staff on the unit. Patient care is consultant led but we have a team of Resident Doctors based on the unit 24/7 and we are also supported by a critical care outreach team who support deteriorating patients.
