Your Role

We're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to head several teams in our global football and rugby markets. Your role will blend technical expertise, management skills, product focus, and business understanding to deliver ambitious solutions that move the needle for our customers and Hudl.

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you'll focus on:

  • Collaboration across disciplines. You'll work closely with a cross-functional leadership team to help set direction for your teams to ensure delivery of impactful outcomes for the area.
  • Developing talent. You'll provide technical and career development guidance to your Engineering Managers. You'll be working across five teams, so you'll need to constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve department culture through the development of your leaders.
  • Empower your team.You'll be working across five teams and work with the Engineering Managers to ensure they have the tools and understanding to build the best solutions for our customers.
  • Strategy.You'll play a key part in setting the roadmaps for the business area, whilst also collaborating on the engineering framework for the business unit.

For this role, we're currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our office in London. But with our flexible work policy, there aren't any current requirements for the number of days you come to the office.

Must-Haves
  • A product focus. You have a proven track record of shipping impactful products.
  • Experience leading others. You're well versed in leading Engineering Managers, as well as mentoring, connecting with, and improving those around you.
  • Strong communication skills. You're excellent at both verbal and written communication, and can convey complex technical concepts and solutions to all levels of the organization.
  • Organisation.With your methodical mindset, you're comfortable with working and prioritising across multiple areas, as well as delegating where necessary.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Professional experience with our stack. Experience with C#, React, React-Native, MongoDB and AWS are a plus. Familiarity with adjacent languages, frameworks and services used at scale are also valuable.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is displayed below-starting salaries will typically fall near the middle of this range.

We make compensation decisions based on an individual's experience, skills and education in line with our internal pay equity practices.

This role will also be eligible for a long-term incentive (LTI) award. Any bonuses awarded are based on individual and company performance paid at Hudl's discretion.
