Senior Associate / Legal Director / Partner - Succession & Tax - Swindon

Location: Swindon (Hybrid Working)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (Part time and compressed hours available)
Salary: £70,000+

This strategic hire offers the chance to work alongside an empowering, non micromanaging Partner who is expanding the team's presence across the region. The Role

You will join a well established Private Client team with a strong Swindon base. The team includes solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives, associates and secretarial support, and is experiencing significant growth and demand.

Your caseload will include:

  • Tax and estate planning for high net worth and ultra high net worth clients
  • Succession planning for farmers, business owners and family enterprises
  • Complex probate and estate administration
  • Advising on the creation, restructuring and winding up of trusts
  • Court of Protection matters
  • Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney

You will play a key role in strengthening the Swindon offering, working closely with senior colleagues while also having the autonomy to develop your own practice area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff
  • Managing a varied and complex caseload
  • Building strong relationships with clients, referrers and professional contacts
  • Leading and contributing to business development initiativesWriting thought leadership and BD articles
  • Supporting the strategic growth of the Swindon office
Candidate Requirements

The firm welcomes applications from:

  • Senior Associates, Legal Directors or Partners
  • Solicitors or CILEX lawyers, including cross qualified candidates
  • Individuals from a broad range of backgrounds

You will have experience in:

  • Court of Protection
  • LPAs
  • Trusts
  • Complex estate planning
  • Probate and estate administration

You will also bring:

  • Experience working with high net worth clients, business owners and complex estates
  • Strong BD skills and market visibility
  • The ability to hit the ground running and support a growing regional presence
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A collaborative, proactive and empowering approach

STEP membership (or working towards it) is advantageous.
