Prospero Teaching are working with a highly regarded independent prep and pre-prep school in Blackheath, South East London, who are looking for an enthusiastic Sports Graduate to join their thriving PE and Sport department from September 2026.

ABOUT THE SCHOOLProspero Teaching is recruiting on behalf of a leading independent prep and pre-prep school in Blackheath, South East London.
The school has a fantastic reputation for delivering high-quality sport and physical education to pupils aged 3-11 years and places sport at the heart of school life. The successful candidate will join a supportive and experienced PE department, working closely with the Head of Sport to deliver an engaging sporting programme across both curriculum and co-curricular activities.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS- Location - Blackheath, South East London
- Position - Sports Graduate
- Type of Work - Supporting PE lessons, coaching sports teams, supervising pupils during playtimes and leading extracurricular clubs
- Contract Start Date - September 2026
- Duration / Likely Duration - 1 Academic Year
- Contract End Date - July 2027
- Contract Type - Fixed-Term Contract (with potential extension)
- Full Time/Part Time - Full Time
- Salary - £20,000 - £23,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
- Hours - 09:45am - 5:15pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
- Sports Science Degree, Sport-Related Degree, BTEC Sport or equivalent qualification
- Coaching experience in a minimum of two sports
- Passion for sport and physical education
- Experience working with children is desirable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
- Provide two professional references
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be willing to undergo all safeguarding and vetting checks required by the school
