The College prides itself in offering students the opportunity to follow one of the sports academy pathways alongside their academic programme.
ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a coach who can plan and deliver training sessions for the girl's football team, as well as managing the teams on match days.
Players receive weekly training on Tuesday mornings, playing in the AoC Yorkshire & Humberside leagues and North Yorkshire School's competitions on Wednesday afternoons.
You will be expected to work such hours as may be needed to discharge the duties effectively, which includes attendance during term-time for:
- Fixtures or training sessions on a Wednesday afternoon.
- An additional one & half hour practice session on Tuesday morning 11.30am - 1pm
- Carrying out preparation, administration & meet with the Sports Coordinator where necessary.
Please note that some weeks will require a longer time commitment (e.g., for away fixtures) and other weeks much shorter (e.g., cancelled fixtures or examination study periods).
Terms and ConditionsThe successful candidate will be appointed to scale point 10 of the College's Support Staff pay spine, currently paid at £27,733p.a. for full time. Actual salary will be pro ra to the hours and weeks worked and includes a pro ra payment for holidays (e.g., approx. £2,051 for 5 hours per week).
This contract will be on a permanent basis for an average of 5 hours per week, starting as soon as the successful candidate is available following recruitment and safeguarding checks.
Salary payments are made monthly by credit transfer in arrears on the last business bank day of the month. Salary for term time staff is paid in equal monthly instalments over the year and includes a payment for pro ra entitlement to annual leave and public holidays. You will be eligible to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.
