Sports Coach and Mentor (Worcestershire)

We have a range of roles available from 2hrs per week to several days a week. We are primarily looking for self employed coaches, however, we would consider employment for the right candidate. Redgate Sports is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people through sport and mentoring. Due to growing demand and recent funding, we are looking for motivated, self employed Sports Coaches and Mentors to join our team in Worcestershire.

Salary We offer competitive hourly, daily rates and salaries based on qualifications and experience. All work is daytime and not weather dependent. Contract (We are happy to discuss all contract options)

About Sports Coach and Mentor (Worcestershire)

You will deliver high quality sports coaching and mentoring sessions in schools and community settings. The role involves supporting vulnerable children, helping them build confidence, develop skills, and experience the positive impact of sport.

There is no fixed venue - sessions take place across Worcestershire, with occasional work in nearby areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, high quality sports coaching sessions
  • Build positive relationships with children and young people
  • Provide guidance, encouragement, and mentoring support
  • Manage your own schedule and adapt to the needs of schools and community partners
  • Work collaboratively with the Redgate team to develop and improve programme delivery
Who We're Looking For
  • Experience in sports coaching
  • A genuine desire to make a difference in young people's lives
  • Strong communication skills - patient, kind, and able to build rapport
  • Full driving licence and ability to travel to multiple venues
  • Willingness to work on a self employed basis
  • Ability to obtain a satisfactory DBS check (supported during recruitment)
  • Experience working with vulnerable children, young people, or those with SEND
  • First Aid qualification (can be completed during recruitment)
