Aspire People are recruiting Sports Coaches to support children and young people across primary and secondary schools.
This is an ideal opportunity for a Sports Coach, Football Coach, PE Coach or Youth Worker who wants to use sport as a way of building positive relationships, improving behaviour and helping young people develop confidence and resilience.
You do not need to have worked as a Teaching Assistant previously. We are interested in candidates with strong experience working with children and young people through sport, coaching, mentoring or youth work.
The Role:
Using sport and physical activity to engage pupils
Supporting pupils with behavioural and SEMH needs
Building positive relationships and acting as a positive role model
Delivering sports and physical activity sessions
Providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring
Supporting pupils with confidence, resilience and teamwork
Helping pupils develop positive attitudes towards school and learning
Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
Working alongside teachers and pastoral teams
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience as a Sports Coach, Football Coach, PE Coach, Youth Worker or similar
Professional experience working with children or young people
Confident managing groups and challenging behaviour
Passionate about sport and youth development
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Patient, energetic and resilient approach
Able to use sport to engage pupils who may struggle in a traditional classroom
