Job Description

Job Title: Sports & Public Services Lecturer

Location: East London

Salary: £40 per hour

Contract: Full-time

Start Date: September

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sports & Public Services Lecturer to join a college on a full-time basis. You will deliver engaging lessons across Sports and Public Services courses, supporting students to develop practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and confidence for future careers in the industry.

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire learners in a supportive and dynamic Further Education environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Sports and Public Services
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum requirements
  • Support students to achieve their academic and personal goals
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement
  • Promote an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment
  • Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum development where required
About You:
  • Experience teaching Sports and/or Public Services in Further Education or a similar setting
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent)
  • Relevant subject qualification in Sport, Public Services, or a related field
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Passion for supporting and motivating learners
  • Ability to engage students with varied learning needs and abilities
  • Industry experience within Sport or Public Services
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and FE compliance requirements
