*Speech Language and or Occupational Therapist for Home Base Programe position available in Stoke poges SL24JH
We are looking for an Speech Language and or Occupational Therapist -tutor to teach for 5 days per week for 6-year-old Boy
A well-established Speech Language and or Occupational programme is in place, which includes different activities, which integrated speech and language and OT therapy targets.
The position comes with an employment contract offering a good pay rate and benefits for the right candidate.
The role involves working at home and community settings (eg, public libraries).
You will be working under guidence of Consultant who is BCBA/UKBA certified professional.
Working hours are from 10 am to 4 pm pm daily with flexible hours/day options.
Criteria for the role :
Qualifications:
o A qualified Speech Language and or Occupational Therapist/person with profeciancy in speech and language therapist/graduates and/or those holding teaching qualifications (from appropriate accredited organisations) (preferred)
Experience:
o Experience in Speech Language and or Occupational Therapist/person/Tutor in home programme. (preferred)
o One year's experience working with children with autism in a mainstream or SEND setting. (minimum)
o Teaching a learner how to build vocabulary, develop inferencing skills and encouraging expressive use of language (preferred)
o Teaching a learner how to develop social communication skills with adults and peers (preferred).
Skills/ability/personal qualities:
o Fun loving (with good play skills) which can be used to deploy motivational strategies to encourage the learner to effectively engage with learning objectives within the child's individualised programme (essential).
o Caring, trustworthy, punctual, reliable and committed to the child's wellbeing, safety and progress (essential).
