Overview

Enable Ireland delivers services to children and adults with disabilities and their families across multiple locations. The post holder will provide Speech and Language Therapy services for young people (0 - 18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework, including assessment, intervention, clinical supervision, and ongoing service development. Services will be delivered through a family-centred approach across clinics, preschools, schools, children's homes and community settings.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide a range of Speech and Language Therapy services for young people and their families within an interdisciplinary framework.
• Undertake assessment and intervention, contribute to service development, and provide clinical supervision.
• Work across diverse settings including clinics, preschools, schools, homes and community environments.

Requirements

• Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Speech & Language Therapist with CORU.
• Have 3 years of full-time (or equivalent) post-qualification clinical experience.
• Demonstrate knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
• Provide proof of statutory registration on CORU's Speech & Language Therapists Register before a contract of employment is issued.
• Maintain annual registration with CORU and confirm annual registration where required.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3 years recent relevant post-qualification experience, including at least 1 year working with children with a range of disabilities/developmental delay and their families.
• Experience working with children aged 0 - 18 years and their families.
• Current eligibility to work in the State.
• Valid driving licence within the state/jurisdiction with access to transport to deliver services across a large geographical area.
• Postgraduate training in management of FEDS disorders and in 0 - 18 years development is desirable.
• Experience in conducting Assessment of Need and in the assessment/intervention of children with autism; experience or training in clinical supervision is advantageous.

Salary and Other Details

Salary scale: €62,072 - €73,477 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to Long Service Increments (LSI).

This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement for Section 39 organisations.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum.
