Job overview Due to significant investment in our service, Cornwall Children's Community Speech and Language Therapy Service is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our Cornwall Team's.
In this rewarding role, you will manage a varied community caseload of children and young people aged 0-18 years, supporting them and their families across a range of settings. You will provide assessment, intervention, consultation and training through clinic appointments, educational setting visits and home visits, helping children achieve their communication potential.

We currently have 2 vacancies available across North & East, Central and West Cornwall. Specific localities and base locations will be discussed with successful candidates during the interview process, allowing us to consider both service needs and individual preferences where possible.

Approximately 568,000 people live here. A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon. As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon. In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increase the numbers of people who use out services.

- has experience working with a range of clinical needs either through previous roles or on student placements
- enjoys working as part of a supportive and friendly team
- is enthusiastic about working with children
- Support to complete RCSLT newly qualified competencies through regular supervision and the trust preceptorship programme

Person specification Education
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent qualification)
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Membership of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
- Undergraduate paediatric clinical experience in a range of settings
- Knowledge of assessment tools and appropriate therapeutic interventions relevant for use with children
- Clinical experience of working with autism, other neurodevelopmental disorders, an
- Career conversations and individual development plans for succession planning and talent management
- Protected CPD time for registered staff
