About the team
The Spectrum Group manages wireless spectrum use in the UK, facilitating innovative services while maintaining existing solutions like Wi-Fi and radio. The role is within the Systems and Engineering Policy team, providing technical modeling, advice, and international representation.
Purpose of the Role
This role involves analyzing spectrum use, developing measurement solutions, and supporting policy development through RF lab measurements, field trials, and stakeholder engagement. It is based at Baldock Radio Station, with hybrid working options and some travel within the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and conduct RF measurements and data analysis to support spectrum management.
- Develop measurement capabilities and mentor junior staff.
- Maintain monitoring equipment and contribute to spectrum policy.
- Prepare reports and presentations for diverse audiences.
- Manage project quality, assets, and stakeholder relationships.
- Support national and international standards bodies.
Skills and Experience
- Practical RF measurement expertise in testing, monitoring, and field trials.
- Experience in radio system installation and maintenance.
- Numerical data analysis skills.
- Problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.

Qualifications
