Specialty Doctor in Paediatrics

Attend and contribute to daily consultant-led ward rounds on the Childrens Ward and in the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), ensuring that agreed clinical plans are implemented, documented and reviewed. Assess, investigate and manage infants, children and young people presenting to the Paediatric Assessment Unit (PAU), with support from the designated consultant. Provide timely senior paediatric assessment of patients presenting to the Emergency Department, including emergency referrals and patients requiring review at the request of the responsible consultant. Assess and manage acutely unwell or deteriorating neonates and children in the delivery suite, Emergency Department, PAU, Childrens Ward, Day Care Unit and SCBU.
