Specialty Doctor in CAMHS Eating Disorders

This is a full-time post (10 Programmed Activities).
The main responsibilities of this post will be to support the consultant in providing high quality services to patients with eating disorders. The post-holder will assist the consultants in all aspects of the service, including the provision of emergency care.
Main duties of the jobThe post-holder will be expected to support the consultant in the assessment and management of patients suffering from a range of eating disorders; this will include both psychiatric and general medical care. Management will include both pharmacological and psychological treatments. The post-holder will be expected to carry out a full medical assessment, perform a mental state examination and perform a physical examination when appropriate.
The post-holder will support in the assessment of patients referred for outpatient treatment and liaise with referrers.

Person Specification Qualifications- Full Registration with GMC
- Part 1 MRC Psych or equivalent
- Approval (or eligibility for approval) under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act
- Knowledge of evidence base for eating disorders
- Good writing and verbal communication skills
