Description Priory Hospital Solihullis looking to recruit a Specialty Doctor to join the team, on a fixed-term basis covering maternity leave. Join a dedicated team providing exceptional patient care. Apply now to make a meaningful impact during this vital period. we have a R&R 31 beds, males, 18+ and a Community reablement Males, 18+. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours and a fixed-term role of up to a year.
Located in Meriden, Warwickshire, Priory Hospital Solihull is a 31-bedded hospital supporting the NHS by offering level 2 rehabilitation services for males.
What you'll be doing You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Specialty Doctor on a fixed-term basis covering maternity leave, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

This post requires an MBBS or equivalent qualification, along with full GMC registration and a license to practice. The ideal candidate will be in good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and will have completed an appraisal or RITA within the past year. In addition, the consultant must hold a CCST/CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant area of Psychiatry and have experience working in inpatient settings with individuals experiencing significant mental health challenges.

- Undertake psychiatric and external assessments for clients referred to the unit to determine the appropriate level of care to be provided, under the direction and supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist, and work with the unit multidisciplinary team to ensure delivery of the Care Programme.
- Prepare discharge summaries, reports and other associated documentation as necessary e.g. for CPA meetings, as directed and supervised by the Consultant Psychiatrist. Participation in learning activities and supervision.
- Participation in Clinical Governance activities, and account for contracted hours utilised in research, Continuing Professional Development and other non-clinical duties as necessary and in a timely manner.
