Post Details - We are recruiting two Specialty Doctors to join the State Hospital, Carstairs - Scotland and Northern Ireland's only high secure psychiatric hospital. The role involves diagnosing, assessing, planning and delivering care and treatment for individuals with severe and complex mental health needs.

Our modern hospital in rural South Lanarkshire offers an excellent working environment and is easily accessible from Scotland's central belt (Edinburgh and Glasgow).

In addition to core clinical duties, there are opportunities to develop interests in research, audit, and psychological therapies. Other responsibilities currently include participation in a quiet, non residential 1:6 on call rota with prospective cover. Successful candidates are welcome to apply for flexible working arrangements.
