If you know how to support autistic children properly - not just "manage" them - this is for you.

What you'll be doing

Supporting autistic pupils with both learning and behaviour in a specialist setting. Using visual communication systems, Makaton and assistive tech to help non verbal learners communicate. Building connection through intensive interaction - social engagement, turn taking, and early communication skills. Using Positive Behaviour Support and co regulation to guide pupils through moments of distress safely and effectively. Working closely with teachers, SaLT, OT, and behaviour specialists to follow and improve individual support plans.

Requirements

What we're looking for

Experience with autism, non verbal pupils, or complex communication needs. Someone who actually enjoys specialist work and wants to get better at it.
