Milk Education is seeking experienced and dedicated Specialist SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of schools in South Manchester from September.
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who are confident supporting pupils with complex SEND needs and who can provide patient, consistent and personalised support.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SEND Teaching Assistants, Level 2 and Level 3 TAs, Support Workers and specialist education professionals who enjoy working with pupils who require a higher level of individualised support.
You may work within mainstream schools with specialist provisions, specialist SEND schools or alternative settings, supporting pupils to access learning, develop communication and build greater independence.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with complex SEND needs
- Support pupils with their learning, communication, behaviour and development
- Adapt your approach to meet individual pupils' needs
- Support pupils to develop independence, confidence and life skills
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and wider school teams
- Follow individual support plans and contribute to a consistent approach across the school
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND and complex needs
- Experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant, Level 2/3 TA, Support Worker or similar
- Experience supporting pupils with autism, communication needs, ADHD, physical disabilities or complex learning needs is desirable
- Experience with personal care or sensory support is welcomed where relevant
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Relevant SEND or education qualifications are desirable

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
