About the roleSpecialist Mentor ASC provides individualised academic support to students with autism and autism spectrum conditions (ASCs). The role involves developing personalised learning plans and guiding students toward success, while collaborating with teachers and support staff and utilising educational technologies.
Key responsibilities- Provide individualised academic support to students.
- Develop and implement personalised learning plans.
- Guide students toward academic success.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff.
- Utilise educational technologies effectively.
- Maintain accurate student records.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in utilising educational technologies.
- Completion of relevant National Autistic Society (NAS) training modules (support provided).

Support is provided for completing the National Autistic Society (NAS) training modules. The training costs approximately £180 for the NMH bundle and successful completion is necessary prior to commencing the role. Upon completion you will receive a certificate from the National Autistic Society that can strengthen your CV for roles supporting individuals with autism, ADHD, and other neurodiverse conditions.
