Specialist for Materials Research and Development 100%
The innovation team of LAUFEN Bathrooms AG (part of the ROCA Group) is currently looking to strengthen its Materials Innovation Management, more particularly for Ceramics. As a member of an international team consisting of colleagues at various company locations who work closely together, the primary place of work - both office and laboratory - will be at the administrative site in Laufen, Switzerland.
What responsibilities can you expect:
Collaborative and participative cooperation with all members of the innovation team
Active involvement in the renewal of the laboratory's equipment
Monitoring the state of the art in ceramics, materials, and processes
Development of innovation concepts: management of R&D projects for the introduction of new ceramic products and technologies (innovative materials and processes, product improvement, material and energy savings, etc.)
Execution of innovation projects including budget monitoring
Collaboration with external research partners and implementation of R&D contracts
Support for production management and quality management with regard to knowledge transfer for the industrialization of new products as well as for daily operations
Close cooperation with product development and marketing
Willingness to work temporarily at other company locations (including outside Europe)
What we expect from you in terms of professional qualifications:
PhD in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
Professional experience: 5-7 years of experience in research and development of new materials
Experience in materials analysis and modelling
Sound knowledge of ceramic technology and processing as well as modern manufacturing methods
Fluent English skills, both written and spoken, and good knowledge in German; additional languages (Spanish, French) are an advantage
Strong innovative mindset, team orientation, and a pronounced hands-on mentality
Interest in the latest developments and technologies in materials, ceramics and sanitary products
