Summary of Job

• This role offers experienced professionals in health, education, or social care a unique pathway to utilise their expertise outside traditional institutional settings.

• The position involves delivering trauma-informed support and high-level care to vulnerable children through various placement structures.

• Flexible arrangements allow professionals to deliver care full-time or provide weekend respite around their existing employment.

• Partner organisations provide structured financial allowances, continuous professional development, and dedicated multidisciplinary support.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Delivering dedicated, high-level trauma-informed care to children and young people with complex support requirements.

• Providing immediate, emergency safe housing for young individuals entering care during urgent situations.

• Facilitating planned weekend respite placements to offer stability to children while accommodating current career commitments.

• Collaborating with therapeutic, psychological, and clinical teams to implement tailored care plans.

• Maintaining accurate developmental progress logs and participating in professional multi-agency reviews.

• Creating a secure, nurturing environment that promotes emotional well-being, educational development, and independence.

Key Requirements

• Experience: Background in social work, teaching, nursing, youth engagement, or allied health care is strongly preferred but not essential.

• Property: A dedicated, suitable spare bedroom in a permanent residence.

• Age & Residency: Aged 21 or over with full UK residency or Indefinite Leave to Remain.
