Application Development Support Engineer
Location: London (On-site, occasional remote working)

Clearance Required: SC (must be willing to undergo DV clearance)
A high-impact opportunity is available within a specialist engineering team supporting mission-critical systems for a national law enforcement environment. This is a varied and hands-on support/development role combining infrastructure, bespoke software support, DevOps tooling, and virtualisation technologies.
You will be working onsite with an experienced and established technical team who directly support operational users and partner agencies to ensure the stability, reliability and performance of critical national services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting bespoke, business-critical applications
- Application design and development
- Virtual infrastructure management
- Incident management and resolution
- System health monitoring
- Database administration
- Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams on new features and improvements
Core Technical Requirements:
- Strong experience with RedHat-based Linux (CLI)
- Experience with Docker (including Docker Swarm)
- SQL and relational databases
- Windows Server 2022
- Understanding of software development principles
Desirable Skills:
- Bash or PowerShell Scripting
- NodeJS (TypeScript & React)
- Golang
- Python
- Elasticsearch/ELK Stack
