We have vacancies available for full and part-time Special Support Assistants, 8.30am-3.30pm, Mon-Fri, term time only on both a permanent and supply basis. Salary grade 5 or 6 depending on experience. Full training will be provided to support your professional development.
What You Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role you will need to:
be able to provide educational and personal support to children with learning, social and communication, physical, medical, sensory and/or behavioural difficulties and needs, both in and out of school within the school day.
be able to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources.
support in all areas of learning, social and emotional and physical development
supervise and provide particular support for pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
be proactive in creating learning opportunities for all learners.
promote independence, self-esteem and confidence.
