Special Educational Needs (SEN) Inclusive Play Development Officer
Based at: PlayBoard NI Headquarters, Belfast
Responsible to: SEN Inclusive Play Project Coordinator
Main purpose: This programme will have a specific focus on children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The Inclusive Play Development Officer will be responsible for delivering an inclusive play programme within schools across Northern Ireland as part of the Department of Education's SEN Reform Agenda.
The Inclusive Play Officer (IPO) will work with school settings (including children, staff and parents) regionally, to deliver Playboard's Inclusive Play Project and contribute to improved wellbeing outcomes for children and young people.
Contract: This is a fixed term contract until the 30th of June 2028, subject to funding.
Salary: Salary Pts: 23-25 (£30,151 - £32,020)
Location: 7 Crescent Gardens, Belfast
The post holder will be required to travel throughout Northern Ireland.
Travel Costs: Travel mileage costs will be paid for any travel incurred carrying out the duties of the post.
Hybrid Working: PlayBoard has a hybrid working policy which will provide staff with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis for those posts where it is appropriate to do so and as agreed.
Hours of work: The successful candidate will be required to work 5 days each week, totalling 35 hours.
Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm
Friday 9am - 4pm
However, the post holder may be required to work additional hours (outside normal office hours) from time to time and remain flexible and mobile as is reasonably necessary for the efficient performance of the duties.
