Sous Chef

Location: Richmond Village Letcombe, South Street, Letcombe Regis, OX12 9RG

Salary: £15.65 per hour plus a Starter Bonus of £1,000 after completing four weeks of service. Starter Bonus will be paid in the next available pay run once you have completed four weeks of service and will be subject to deductions for tax and National Insurance. (Ts & Cs apply)

Contract: Full time (40 hours per week) on a permanent basis, working across four days (4 x 10-hour shifts) between 07:00 and 20:00. No split shifts and no late night shifts.

We are looking for a talented and driven individual to step into the role of Sous Chef within our dynamic kitchen team. In this position you will support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to residents, serviced suite guests, restaurant guests, and in house events.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food in accordance with food hygiene regulations.
  • Respond to residents, villagers and Wellness Spa clients' dietary needs, including special dietary requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals on the hotplate, as required.
  • Ensure all food is used within the prescribed period, with particular attention to perishable (high risk) goods.
  • Maintain a welcoming, safe, and compliant environment for our residents to dine in.
  • Help to maintain a clean and hygienic working area throughout the kitchen.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience working in a professional kitchen, ideally with clientele requiring special dietary requirements.
  • A good understanding of health and safety procedures; NVQ or equivalent City & Guilds and CIEH Level 2 Food Safety Award or equivalent.
  • Innovative yet organised approach to cooking, with ability to remain calm during busy service.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate to deliver an excellent dining experience.
