Kinsale is rightfully known as the culinary capital of Ireland, and we are currently recruiting an experienced Sous Chef for one of its busiest and most well-established dining venues. This is a permanent, year-round position offering excellent earning potential for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The OpportunityMy client operates a highly successful, premium gastropub and catering establishment that has been a staple in Kinsale for over 25 years. Serving upwards of 200 covers a day on weekends, the kitchen focuses on authentic, hearty, crowd-pleasing dishes-from exceptional fish and chips and premium burgers to rich ragùs and stews-complemented by creative daily specials. They are looking for a reliable, hard-working Sous Chef to help lead a tight-knit brigade. If you enjoy the buzz of a high-volume service and take pride in delivering consistent, quality food, this is a fantastic opportunity to secure long-term stability.
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting in the daily running of a very busy kitchen operation
- Delivering high-quality, hearty pub classics and daily specials
- Maintaining pace and consistency during intense 200+ cover weekend services
- Supporting the team across a 7-day-a-week roster
- A highly rewarding base salary of €45,000-€52,000 per annum (approx. €22-€25/hour)
- Full-time, year-round employment (this is not a seasonal contract)
