Sous Chef - Cranleigh
Independent Education contract caterer
40 hours per week (5 over 7)
Weekend availability required
£34,000 per annum (52 weeks)
We are looking for a Sous Chef to join a well-established, independent contract catering company known for its strong family values and commitment to quality food. As Sous Chef, you will support the kitchen team in delivering high-volume fresh, seasonal meals while maintaining high standards of food safety, organisation, and consistency. The role will involve preparing food for breakfast, lunch service, and additional hospitality requirements, ensuring customers receive nutritious, high-quality meals throughout the day.
Requirements- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
- Passion for cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
- NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Strong organisational and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS required for successful applicants.
