Core Responsibilities: Perimeter: Key component suppliers (motors, power supplies, cables, stamping, metal parts). Strategic Planning: Align sourcing strategies with business objectives while anticipating future needs. Supplier Selection: Collaborate with category managers to identify and select suppliers for critical electrical or metal components over a 2-4 year outlook. Supplier Relationships: Build strong relationships with suppliers and develop long-term sourcing strategies. Negotiation: Onboard suppliers and negotiate agreements to secure favorable terms while maintaining high quality standards. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including shortages and quality issues. Supplier Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs related to sourcing activities, such as cost savings and lead times. Cost Reductions: Implement strategies to reduce costs through integration and modularization. Market Research: Stay updated on technology trends and supplier roadmaps to inform sourcing strategies. Sustainability: Drive responsible sourcing practices to support the LEGO Group's sustainability agenda. Contract Management : Drive Design Agreement, SOW and Global Purchase Agreement Play your part in our team succeeding The Strategic Sourcing Manager will work closely with category manager, engineers, project managers and quality. This role requires providing local coordination support for the Sustainable Sourcing team. Do you have what it takes Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or related fields is essential. A deep understanding of the electromechanical manufacturing sector is required, including knowledge of market dynamics and regulatory requirements.The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver, willing to engage directly with suppliers and teams to tackle challenges and implement effective solutions. Strong strategic thinking skills are necessary for analyzing trends, anticipating challenges, and evaluating opportunities that contribute to informed decision-making.Analytical skills are crucial for assessing market trends and conducting cost-benefit analyses, while a proven track record in negotiating favorable terms with suppliers regarding pricing, payment, delivery, and quality is expected. Excellent communication skills are vital for drafting contracts and negotiating with stakeholders.The ability to foster collaboration among category managers, suppliers, and internal teams is important, as is a strong project management background, with experience in overseeing sourcing projects and coordinating cross-functional teams to meet objectives on time and within budget. Proficiency in digital tools like COUPA and Power BI is also required. The position can be based in Billund DK, London UK or Boston US, and relocation support is not offered for this role. are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
