The Sourcing Manager plays a critical execution and support role within the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Services Hub. As a centrally deployed, fungible resource, the role provides high-quality operational and analytical support across categories, enabling Category Managers and Heads of Category to deliver sourcing strategies, commercial outcomes, supplier insights, and compliance with Group governance and regulatory expectations.
The role supports sourcing events, handles supplier interactions, and maintains accurate procurement documentation and systems. It contributes to market scanning, risk reduction, and ongoing operational improvement. It also strengthens relationships with collaborators and suppliers to improve efficiency, speed up delivery, and ensure compliance with procurement frameworks.
As a key part of the Bank's sourcing engine, the role enables effective procurement delivery, strong supplier governance, and commercial value creation. You'll coordinate day-to-day sourcing activity, prepare accurate documentation, and provide data and insights to advise commercial decisions. The position also focuses on supplier and stakeholder engagement, adherence to procurement and risk standards, and ongoing process optimisation. With exposure across multiple categories and collaboration with purchasing leads and control functions, it offers a strong platform. This platform helps build deep procurement expertise within a modern, well-governed, transformation-focused function.
What will make you stand out?- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing operations, or supply chain management; financial services experience desirable.
- Experience supporting sourcing events and handling supplier communications in a structured, governed procurement environment.
- Strong understanding of procurement governance, compliance requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Familiarity with procurement tools and systems (e.g., Coupa or similar).
- Experience analysing supplier proposals, validating documentation, and resolving operational issues.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Group Procurement & Partner Management is a Group-wide function at Bank of Ireland, responsible for enabling smart, strategic, and well-governed purchasing decisions across all Divisions and departments.
We deliver a full suite of capabilities including Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Partner Relationship Management, Supplier Risk Management & Governance, and Procurement Services & Transformation to support the Bank in achieving its commercial, operational, and risk objectives.
As part of Shared Services within the Enterprise Services team, we play a central role in facilitating the efficient and effective purchase of goods and services. Our focus is on improving value from the Bank's total spend, strengthening our relationships with critical partners, and ensuring the organisation is protected from supplier-related risks.
Ultimately, we help the Bank buy better, work smarter, and operate safely so that every euro spent supports strategic outcomes and delivers lasting value.
This is a hybrid role, based primarily at Baggot plaza, Dublin. We typically ask colleagues to spend a minimum of 8 days per month working in-person to support collaboration and connection. Specific arrangements will be confirmed by your recruiter to ensure they meet the needs of the role and team.
