Solution Designer - Manchester (Hybrid) - Outside IR35

Harvey Nash is currently recruiting for an exciting contract opportunity with a leading Higher Education client of ours based in Manchester. They are looking for a solution designer to play a crucial role in the development and implementation of technology solutions across IT.

Responsibilities:

1. Understanding Requirements: They work closely with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements, ensuring that the solutions they design meet the needs of the organisation.
2. Creating Design Specifications: They develop detailed design specifications that outline the architecture, components, and interfaces of the solution. This includes both functional and non-functional requirements.
3. Collaborating with Teams: Solution designers collaborate with various teams, including developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure that the solution is feasible and aligns with the overall project goals.
4. Evaluating Technologies: They assess and recommend technologies and tools that will be used in the solution, ensuring that they are suitable for the project's requirements and constraints.
5. Ensuring Quality: They are responsible for ensuring that the solution is of high quality, meets industry standards, and adheres to best practices.
6. Providing Technical Guidance: Solution designers provide technical guidance and support to development teams throughout the implementation phase, helping to resolve any issues that arise.
7. Documenting Solutions: They create comprehensive documentation that details the design, implementation, and maintenance of the solution, ensuring that it can be easily understood and managed by others.
8. Continuous Improvement: They continuously evaluate and improve existing solutions, ensuring that they remain effective and efficient as business needs evolve.
