We're seeking an experienced Solution Architect to provide design leadership across complex technology programmes and critical product areas. This is an opportunity for a technology-driven architect who can shape innovative solutions, influence strategic direction, and balance immediate delivery requirements with long-term business goals.

The Role

As a Solution Architect, you will act as the design authority for key technology initiatives, working closely with product managers, engineers, business stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams. You will define solution architectures, develop technology roadmaps, manage technical risk, and support the successful delivery of complex systems and digital transformation programmes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing high-level solution designs and architecture artefacts
• Shaping technology strategy and product roadmaps
• Providing design governance and technical leadership
• Managing technology risk throughout the product life cycle
• Collaborating with engineering, product and business teams to drive successful outcomes
• Evaluating emerging technologies and identifying opportunities for innovation
• Balancing cost, risk, quality, user experience and delivery timelines when making architectural decisions

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or technical domain expert delivering complex technology solutions
• Strong background in enterprise and solution architecture
• Experience leading significant elements of product delivery, systems development or transformation programmes
• Ability to perform trade-off analysis and communicate complex technical decisions to a range of stakeholders
• Broad technology knowledge with a modern, adaptable and technology-first mindset
• Experience working across diverse technology portfolios and business environments

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to AI, emerging technologies and digital-native architectures
• Experience in Agile and Lean delivery environments
• Experience operating within highly secure or complex organisational environments
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience within architecture teams
• Knowledge of recognised architecture frameworks and best practices
