Solution Architect

*Solution Architect - 8 Month Contract - Hybrid - Copenhagen or Warsaw*

RED now has a new contract opportunity for a Solution Architect to join one of our key partners for a major data-driven transformation programme. The initial contract will be for 8 months - until the end of 2026.

This contract is to start ASAP and will be hybrid with 3days per week on-site in Copenhagen or Warsaw.

Skills required:

• 5-7+ years designing and delivering end-to-end data platform solutions in production environments.
• Strong experience across Azure Synapse, Databricks, and associated data platform components.
• Strong Python skills for data engineering workflows, plus experience with orchestration and testing frameworks.
• Strong SQL optimisation skills across SQL Server, Synapse dedicated pools, and Databricks SQL.
• Deep hands-on experience with Databricks lakehouse, Delta Lake (ACID, time travel, merge), and medallion architecture.
• Experience designing end-to-end pipelines with.* Azure Data Factory* or Databricks Workflows, incl. monitoring & error handling.
• Experience working with streaming architectures (Kafka) and lambda patterns.
• Experience implementing data quality frameworks and computational governance within pipeline logic.
• Practical knowledge designing tabular models in Analysis Services (DAX, aggregations, partitioning, performance tuning).
• Experience architecting solutions across both centralised (star schemas, CDM/RDM) and federated/lakehouse architectural styles.
• Exposure to SAP, Salesforce, POS, o9 or similar systems in transformation programmes.
• Ability to work hands-on with engineering teams, providing technical direction while still contributing code when needed.
• Able to join ASAP
