Job Description

On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a Solution Architect (Inside IR35) for a 6 months contract based hybrid in any of the MOJ hubs 2 days per week.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government's ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.

The Solution Architect will work across multiple products, projects or teams on problems that require broad architectural thinking. The role involves

As a Solution Architect, your main responsibilities will be:
. Responsibility for the technical design of systems and services, and requires the ability to justify and communicate design decisions.
. Strong technical or development background is required along with the ability to discuss the details of a broad range of industry-standard technologies, across both proprietary and open-source technology stacks.
. Assuring other services and system quality, making sure the technical work fits into the broader strategy for government as well as exploring the benefits of cross-government alignment and providing mentoring within teams and provide support to other architects.

Essential:
. Working with external suppliers
. Total Facilities Management and Software as a Service (SaaS) experience
. Understanding of the complexities of integration of different supplier systems
. Delivering at pace and with ambiguity

Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
