Role OverviewThis role focuses on resolving disputes at an early stage, including through ADR and mediation. As a solicitor in the Agriculture and Landed Estates team you will handle fee-earning work for private clients across:
Estate administration,Wills,Tax, LPAs,Lifetime tax planning, Farming & Agricultural Estate Planning, IPFD Claims and Trusts
Location: Wiltshire
Salary Package: £58,000 - £62,000 depending on skills and experience
Key ResponsibilitiesAct for beneficiaries in claims for breach of executor/trustee duties
Inheritance Act claims
Challenge gifts where capacity is in question
Advise on lifetime gifts to minimise future disputes
Defend challenges to Wills
Work on professional negligence claims related to Will drafting
Act in estate administration disputes and executor removal applications
Challenge Will validity
Manage disputes involving insufficient financial provision
Handle trust disputes
Manage disputes
Support fee earners
3+ years' PQE
Experience in ADR and mediation
Confidence liaising with courts and legal bodies
Experience using a case management system
Ability to travel for court or client meetings
2:1 degree (or equivalent ability)
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
Current practising certificate (or ability to obtain one)
