We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will focus on developing and maintaining Back End services with a strong emphasis on API consumption and integration. This role involves working closely with our Dublin-based QA team and may require occasional travel depending on project needs. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Back End services with a heavy focus on API consumption and integration.
• Extend and enhance existing microservices, focusing primarily on continuation work rather than starting from scratch.
• Build APIs functionally similar to serverless/lambda-type components, providing modular Back End capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with the QA team based in Dublin, with potential periodic travel depending on project needs.
• Lead the expansion of Alexa's 3P Task Completion capabilities internationally to support the vision of making Alexa the best AI assistant worldwide.

Essential Skills

• 4 to 6 years of experience in software engineering, ideally with Back End and API development.
• Strong experience in API development, micro-services architecture, and cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Proven ability to handle high-throughput systems and Real Time data processing.
• Detail-oriented with superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with partner teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred coding skills.
• experience in designing and implementing 3P API integrations with complex distributed systems.
• Focus on scalability and performance optimisation.

Work Environment
